The Chippewa County Soil & Water Conservation District (SWCD) is a local unit of government that manages and directs natural resource management programs at the local level. The SWCD works with local landowners and with other units of government, to carry out programs for conservation and development of soil, water, and related resources.
The Chippewa SWCD is located in the Chippewa County Courthouse at 629 N. 11th St., Suite 7 in Montevideo, MN.
Staff at the office work with landowners to provide a variety of products and services. Staff also has the ability to coordinate engineering and to work on partnering projects.
